Dr. Griffin is a member of both the Shreveport-Bossier and Grambling African-American Chambers of Commerce, the Southeast Georgia Minority Chamber of Commerce, Columbus, GA, and the Minden Branch NAACP.
He received both the 2011 Citizen of the Year Award from the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the 2014 Making a Difference Award from the Shreveport-Bossier-DeSoto Parish African-American Association.
